Project overview
Camden South Charlotte is a multifamily apartment community in Charlotte, North Carolina. The pool design and overall amenity layout were established before the project came to me. The completed amenity included a large swimming pool, sun shelf lounging areas, in-water lounge chairs, modern deck space, fencing, and a clean luxury apartment amenity environment. My contribution focused on permitting coordination, finish selection documentation, material and submittal coordination, inspection scheduling, final inspection support, progress photo collection, project records, and communication across the office, field, inspectors, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders through closeout.
Challenges
Coordinating permitting, finish selections, inspections, documentation, and stakeholder communication from preconstruction through the final stages of construction, while keeping the office, field, inspectors, contractors, and suppliers aligned on outstanding items and progress.
Lessons learned
Representing Aquarian Pools during final inspection coordination gave me additional experience with project completion procedures and reinforced how important detailed coordination is during closeout — every small item tracked late in the project protects the final delivery.
